Koryu Karate was established in 2006 by Chief Instructor Carl Peckham 5th Dan, who has over 30 years experience in Shotokan Karate and various other Martial Arts. At Koryu Karate, high standards have built the foundation for the club's reputation, well known for the development of multiple National Champions. At Koryu Karate our students are trained to the highest possible standard, whilst maintaining discipline and respect. we firmly believe that a grade should not just be awarded, a grade should be earned and recognised.

At Koryu Karate we recognise that practising Karate at a young age should be fun. The  Under 13's and Tigers Classes are structured to offer an enjoyable experience, whilst learning a traditional Martial Art. Training at Koryu Karate from a young age will help to improve self confidence, set targets and achieve personal goals.
